Why did the band Creed break up?

Creed broke up because lead singer Scott Stapp was heavily into drugs and alcohol. They broke up and he went into rehab and didn't talk for quite a long time. But if you like them good news! They got back together in 2009 and put out a new single called "Overcome".

Brian Marshall quit, Scott Stapp was injured in an automobile accident, and production became more expensive and less successful. Relations between remaining band members continued to decline and Creed disbanded.

The band Creed broke up because none of the other members were not getting along with lead singer Scott Stapp. The band which specialized in Christian rock had a problem with Stapp's substance abuse and wild lifestyle.
