Beetles needs a wet surfaces and a moist environment. They usually love to eat fungus. Fungus are commonly seen in these types of moist surfaces. That is why beetles in the rub shower drain.

The beetles need wet surface as well as surroundings. I It is there means the place is not hygene. Spray some HCl to the place and it will vanish.

The beetles in your rub and shower drain are probably there because they like moist areas and eat fungus. They are harmless but you should try and get rid of them. To do that try cleaning with a diluted bleach solution. You should also pour an ENZYME based drain cleaner down the drain to kill the beetles food source.
