Why am I getting a "no active controlset key" error message in winxp?

it looks like you have virus in pc or registry corrupted you must reinstall the windows to get rid of this thing or use CCLEANER software may be it help

You have a virus, or a corrupt install of windows. Either way , the fix is to Fdisk the hard drive and reinstall a clean copy of windows xp.

This error is caused by a corrupt Windows registry or by a virus or your file has probably been messed. You will need to reinstall windows xp in order to get your computer to work again and the files you saved has been meesed up so oyou need a new one.

this error might been caused by a virus or a registry error. practically i havent got this type of error in my pc. but i got the worst of all error... the blue screen of death error. so practically what i do is reinstall my OS then the error is gone.

If your are getting the no active control set key error then there is something wrong with your file. You file has probably been messed and you will need a new one.
