This question is a bit vague so my answer may be as well. Coughing at night like this can be caused by several factors. It may be that you are eating too late and are experiencing some acid reflux issues? You may even unknowingly suffer from sleep apnea, a disorder which causes disturbed breathing patterns when sleeping.

When you are still at night mucus builds up in your lungs, by turning over you are loosening this mucus and sending it to another spot, this will cause coughing. Also post-nasal drip, fluid passing from your sinus, down your throat can cause this. Try to sleep with an extra pillow under your head to lessen symptoms.

Coughing during the night could mean that your throat is running dry. Snoring could lead to throat dryness. Sometimes coughing is due to dust allergy mostly. Gastric problems could also lead to coughing in the night. Chest congestion is also a reason. A General Physician could always derive the proper cause.

At that time you do not breathe well because of cold and generally it is a common case. You do not need to worry about that.

That is because of positional drainage. When you've been in one position for a long time the phlegm remains there, when you turn phlegm moves triggering cough reflex.

You cough when you roll over because a spider crawled into your mouth and got stuck on your tonsils when you turned.
