Who wrote the Cannon in D?

Cannon in D was written by Johnann Pachelbel. Pachelbel was a German Baroque composer who was born in September, 1653 and died in March of 1706 at the age of fifty-two. In addition to composing, he also was a teacher and organist. He was mostly influenced by other Southern German composers.

I have a book called "Jumbo Easy Guitar Songbook". Canon in D is one of the songs in the book. It has Johann Pachelbel as the author.

I think you refer to the Canon in D, the most famous work of Johann Pachelbel (1653–1706), sometimes spelled 'Pachabel'.
