The members of the original Temptations were Eddie Kendricks, Otis Williams, Paul Williams, Melvin Franklin, and Elbridge "Al" Bryant. Many people think that David Ruffin was an original member of the Temptations. However, David Ruffin only became a member of the Temptations in early 1964 after Elbridge Bryant was fired.
