Who makes a good cheap portable dvd player?

Off-brand companies like Coby manufacture off-brand portable DVD players. Checking online auction sites or retailers that sell discount electronics will be your best bet, however; if cost is your primary concern, you're going to be dealing with less reliable companies. Finding a discount on a name-brand may be your best option.

I had bought one that was made by Sony and it was really good. It was an eleven inch screen and I was able to plug into my speakers on the car and the sound was amazing. I only paid wighty dollars for mine.

Sony, Panasonic, and JVC all make quality dvd players that are reasonably priced. It would depend on what features that you want to have as to the range of prices.

Sony and Panasonic actually make the best and cheapest portable dvd players. They are cheap because everyone is buying the indash dvd players and they are not getting the portable ones as much as they used to. I bought my Sony player last year for 88 dollars and it is great.
