Who knows the answers to questions about taxes and mileage?

I drive to a rehearsal once a week for a not-for-profit organization.

If this is your hobby, you cannot deduct mileage. If you can classify this as "volunteer for charity", you can deduct 14 cents per mile.

You can deduct 14 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations. To claim this, you must itemize deductions (that is, file a Schedule A). You should keep a mileage log to establish date, purpose, and miles driven.
