There are several stories of "Umbrella Man. " The most notorious is perhaps the man with the umbrella seen in the Zapruder film of the JFK assassination.

'Umbrella Man' was someone seen and confirmed to be at JFK's assassination holding an umbrella in hot weather. He spun his umbrella in a particular manner as his limo approached and later JFK was assassinated. He's confirmed to be real by witnesses. A man called Louis Steven Witt came forward in 1978 and said he did it to heckle Kennedy.

The "umbrella man" is a figure in some conspiracy theories about JFK's assassination. In the Zapruder film, a man can be seen holding an umbrella. As JFK passes, he opens the umbrella and makes some odd motions. Conspiracy theorists interpret these motions as signals to shooters.

The Zapruder film is a famous "home movie" taken by a bystander in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas the day JFK was killed. In addition to showing Kennedy being hit, there are two "suspicious" men: Umbrella Man,who held an open umbrella while the other man stood at the curb and waved his arm. Neither man was considered in subsequent investigations.

There are several theories about a man carrying an umbrella who was present at the assassination of US President John F. Kennedy. He appeared in photos from the scene as well as the Zapruder film. He opened an umbrella, though it was sunny and 66 degrees, and appeared to signal with it, just before the president was shot and killed.

A witness to the JFK assassination was seen carrying an umbrella. Neville Chamberlain, British Prime Minister from 1937-1940 carried this nickname because he often carried an umbrella in public. He was depicted with it in cartoons - sometimes even drawn as an umbrella. Robert w Patten, an eccentric figure in Seattle's history, and also the cartoon figure modeled after him

The Umbrella Man is a man seen opening an umbrella during the Zapruder film of President John F. Kennedy's assassination. Mr. Zapruder filmed JFK's motorcade through Dallas and caught on film JFK being shot to death. To conspiracy theorists, every figure in the film has gained significance including the Umbrella Man for a possible connection to the murder.
