Billy Idol, David Bowie, Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock, were all very big. Also Aerosmith and Run DMC, their big hit "walk this way" came out. The 80's was a great time for music new sounds were being found. Boy bands were out like New Kids on the Block.

In this decade legend singers and bands blossomed like: The Rolling Stones, Metallica, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Phil COllins, Madonna, U2, Wham/George Michael, Duran Duran, Queen, Journey, Tina Turner, Billy Idol, Tears for Fears, Kenny Loggins, and many more.

A few of the pop idol's that come to my mind from the early 80's would be the most colorful Cyndi Lauper.Never to be left out of the 80's would be the always eccentric Prince.We can't forget the bad boy Billy Idol. Gone but to never be forgotten Michael Jackson, and last but not least Wild Child Madonna.
