You just have to love this "oldie but goodie". A pound = a pound, IF the pounds are in the same system of measurement. So, a pound of feathers weighs exactly the same as a pound of lead... if you measure both in standard U. S. pounds

Strictly speaking, a pound of anything has the same weight as a pound of anything else. However, because lead is more dense, it would probably seem heavier when held.
