Which is better: hardwired control or microprogrammed control?

Talking about hardwired and microprogammed control and how to guess which one is better is something that should be returned to the computer user itself, if the user wants a simple and most up to date computer configuration, microprogrammed control is better choice.

Taking our basic computer as an example, four-bit op-code permits up to 16 instructions. We could add seven more instructions to set by simply expanding its microprogram.
