Transaxles are mostly in small vehicles where the engine sits sideways under the hood. The transaxle would always sit behind the engine block on the driverside. The transaxle is sometimes a 8, 10, 12 bolts mounted to the engine block along with a flywheel (automatic) or compressed clutch plate (manual). The transaxle itself can contain over 100 to 1,000 parts.

You need to be specific with the truck model. Generally the transaxle located within the transmission housing which is the front engine. If you driving a rear wheel truck, this will not have a transaxle. However most of the front wheel trucks do have a transaxle.
