Where is the thermostat located on a Ford F150?

I need help locating a thermostat on a Ford.

1. Locate the upper radiator hose. 2. Follow from the radiator to the intake manifold. 3. You will see a rounded extension from the thermostat housing, this is the Coolant Inlet Elbow. 4. Remove the Coolant Inlet Elbow. 5. The thermostat will now be visible and removable.

The thermostat (coolant temp) is located within the tubing and connector on the top of the engine block. The thermostat is housing on the coupling that connects the two.

It is hard to tell you exactly where not knowing what year your truck is. You should be able to follow the upper radiator hose back to the thermostat housing.

The thermostat is inside the housing where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine. Remove the hose from the housing, unbolt the housing: thermostat inside.

the thermostat should be located on the top radiator hose as it goes into the engine intake. two bolts hold the hose neck on.
