The Isle of Wight, a small British island, is located in the English Channel. It is located approximately 5 miles or 8 kilometers off the southern coast of England. The island covers 148 square miles and is considered a unitary county of England. In the past it was part of the county of Hampshire.

The Isle of Wight is located in the English Channel that separates England and France. It's about 3 miles from the mainland, south of the county Hampshire. It is about 2 hours southwest of London. It has an airport, but you can take a hovercraft or a car ferry from Southsea, near Portsmouth.
