Where is the EGR valve located on my Ford Contour?

For a 2.0 liter engine, remove the air intake resonator. If you have a 2.5L engine, remove the air cleaner outlet tube. This will provide access to the EGR valve. The EGR valve is on the side of the engine.

It is located around the top of the exhaust. It has a tube that runs from the exhaust to the intake.

Directly against the fire wall. It looks very similar to a yo yo with two metal lines running out of it.

It be pretty easy to find on an older car. It should be somewhere around the top of the exhaust. It will have a tube that runs from the exhaust the the intake housing a round shaped object connected to the intake manifold. it has round shape top with a diapham that open and closes. .

You will need to remove the air intake resonator which is toward the back and top of the engine. Remove the air outlet tube. This provides access to the valve.
