The crankshaft sensor of a Nissan Sentra is under the bowels of your engine where the engine and transmission meet. The sensor is facing rear wards and very close to the exhaust pipes.

The crankshaft sensor is located one the front left of transaxle where it reads the flywheel. The sensor is a black plastic device held in place by a 10 mm bolt. It has 2 wires and a ground that come from a harness that also spilts off to the distributor. Not sure, but the Sentra should have something similar.

This is a fairly broad question becomes there are many different models of your type of car. I would either consult a mechanic personally, or refer to your user manual.
