It is where the door meets the body of the car. Usually, it can be found around the latch area, although it could be located further out on the frame. It is like a house lock, where the jamb is located where the latch meets the door frame. Hope that helps!

This is the rubber coating that goes along the door. It is easy to replace but you have to order a piece that fits.

The door jab of a car is similar to the jamb of a normal door in your house. It is the area of the cars body that is the door opening it's self. It typically refers to the section that the latch catch is located on. The lower part of the jamb is refer to as a door sill.
