You can get rodent killers at almost any feed store, home and garden supply store, and even at Wal-mart type stores. There are some that run on AA batteries to send an electrical shock to the rat so there is no mess and suffering for the animal.

They are very easy to find you can buy them all over the internet. They sound kinda scary but they are considered humane. The best part about them is you don't have to touch the dead rat.
