You can normally find them in ditches, abondoned properties, back woods, along roads and in feilds. You can ask your local nursery to see if they can order some for you.

Unfortunately, wild roses are hard to come by these days. Check with your local nursery to see if they can order them for you. If not, you should try some online sources. There are several companies online that specialize in heirloom roses.

Wild roses are found often growing along roads and in ditches. You will find them in fields and abandoned properties. Look for them in the back woods in common areas.

The true wild roses contain five petals each and can be found growing in the wild. Search for them close to water sources and around ditches. They are easy to transplant and spread on their own. They need lots of water and basically take care of themselves. Wild roses can take more shade than regular rose bushes.

*Wild* rose bushes are growing in the wild, you'd have to dig them up. Don't do that. Maybe you're thinking of old fashioned rose hedges? Rosa robusta is a very hardy hedge type rose with lightly scented flowers that also produce rose hips. Many gardening catalogs sell them.

You can get some from a store that sells wild rose bushes. You could also go out and get an authentic wild rose bush by going out int he wild and trying to find and identify one. That would be the best way but probably also the hardest. The easiest way would probably to buy it from some website.

If you find a wild rose-bush on land you don't own, get permission to move it. You could be breaking the law if you dig up wild plants.

Alot of times when you are driving you can find them where old houses used to be. Take a walk in the woods and keep a look out for them.

A GREAT place to look for antique and wild roses is the Antique Rose Emporium in Brenham Texas. They do mail orders country-wide.
