The best thing to do would be to hire an attorney. Laws vary from state to state on child support making it quite difficult to understand. i would reference your state bar association website and look for a highly regarded attorney that can help you with your case. Good luck!

There is very little sympathy for dads who owe child support. You can hire an attorney but unless you are mentally incompetent or incarcerated, there is no latitude for not paying child support. If you are current and feel an adjustment is in order, you can file a motion without an attorney and be heard in family court.

Obviously, you can hire a lawyer. However, if there is a Law School near you, they usually have a clinic where law students give free consultations.

I would always recommend that you seek the advice of an attorney. However there are also many blogs and websites that can also help you. Another idea is to contact your local child support enforcement agency in the county where you reside. They may be able to assist you in finding our more information.
