The CC silver dollars were indeed made in Carson City, and they were mined near there as well. Many collectors like to find the Carson City dollars as they are worth quite a bit!

The CC silver dollars or the morgan dollars were first minted in the year 1878 until 1904 and in 1921. It was minted in Carson City Mint in Carson City, where a huge source of silver was discovered in the 1850's. It was the first dollar issued for American commercial use.
