The more popular Babylonian Talmud was finished around 200 CE (Mishnah) and the Gemara was finished around 500 CE. The Jerusalem Talmud, or Talmud Yerushalmi, was finished sooner -- 200 CE for the Mishnah too, and about 400 CE for the Gemara.

The Talmud was written between 200 CE and 500 CE, depending on the section of the Talmud you are reading. The Mishnah, which is oral law, was written around 200 CE, and the Gemara, which is rabbinical discussions of the Mishnah, was written around 500 CE.

It was finished by around 500 CE during the time of the Amoraim. I believe the Tannaim and Zugot also contributed to the version of the Talmud we have today.

The Talmud consists of two parts. The first part, Mishnah, was written in 200 CE. The second part, Gemara, was written in 500 CE.

After GOD liberated Israel from Egypt , it did not take long for the people to forget GOD & went whoring after other gods. If such was their memory would GOD give them oral laws (Talmud.) Satan's demand for the body of Moses something to do with oral laws ?  add a comment
