When should a teen start using deodorant?

My daughter doesn't seem to smell yet.

If your daughter has begun sweating under her arms after a physical activity, or has shown signs of beginning puberty, then I would recommend finding her a deodorant with a mild fragrance. An anti-perspirant may be wanted if she seems to sweat alot, or is uncomfortable with wetness under her arms.

Adolescents should begin using deoderant as soon as they hit puberty; for girls, this is usually between the ages of eleven and fourteen. Of course, if your daughter starts smelling sooner or wants to try it earlier, there is no harm in that.
