What's the entry level pay for Coast Guard?

I am looking over the job to see if it's something I would want to do.

Coast Guard is military. entrty level is e1-e3 after you go through basic training. You should talk with a recruiter to figure out your options. You must sign a contract and commit a certain amount of time to this career though.

According to the latest pay scale that came out in January 2009. The starting active duty pay for a new recruit (E-1 grade) is $1294. 50 per month. After 4 months this goes up to $1399. 50 per month. There are also civilian jobs available in the Coast Guard if you don't want to join.

There are many different positions in the Coast Guard and pay for different positions vary. The Coast Guard offers great pay with benefits and you can always advance. The Coast Guard would be an excellent choice as an employer.

It all depends on your status with the military. Best bet is to check with your military officer they will be able to determine what will be your starting pay. It's a great job if you love the open sea great opportunities.
