The popular song "Landslide" was actually written by Stevie Nicks and performed by Fleetwood Mac, and was released in 1979 on their album "Fleetwood Mac." Another popular version covered in the 1990's was by the Smashing Pumpkins. This was essentially a solo guitar and vocal performance by their still current front man, Billy Corgan.

This song was orignally written by Stevie Nicks before she joined the legendary band Fleetwood Mac. Before writing the song she was having a hard time with personal problems, like music and love. The song's name came from the idea of what would happen if there was a landslide on a mountain that came crashing down on her.
