What would cause blisters on the arms?

Well, the first thing that crosses my mind is hand exposure to high temperatures, acid, radiation or nerve gas. Blisters can also be caused by allergic reaction to something like insect stings, dirtiness, animal fur etc. Of course there is always a possibility of some bacterial or viral infection, disease etc.

Anything that is rubbing on them for an extended period of time, including tight clothing, splints or braces, bandages. Some infections can also cause blisters in various places.
