Motley Crue, Great White, Bon Jovi, The Scorpions, Poison are some that come to mind. Their popularity was due to a general party attitude shared by all I believe.

Some of the biggest hair bands of the 80's were Ratt, Poison, Twisted Sister, Skid Row, and Def Leppard. All these bands were very big in the 80's and were what hair rock was all about. Most of the 80's bands had the same feel but hair rock stood out.
