90's music was like the 60's hippie love/peace movement only in place of love was the angst and depression and the talent was at a lack thereof.

Nineties music was the the great rebirth in popular rock/pop music. The music of the nineties ended the days of the "Hair Bands" and gave way for Grunge to emerge. It was great music to listen to and changed rock'n'roll profoundly.

In the nineties, hip-hop and things that sounded like hip-hop became the dominant music style. Practically every song had some singing and then someone would rap a verse or some other lyric before the singing came back. Pop music was more electronic and there was less demand and actual musicians.

Ninties music was beautiful. I was more of a rap fan and in those days we had two of the greatest to ever do it in 2pac and Biggie. Amazing!
