Minors are required to have the same documents as adults: a current passport and other documents as required, depending on where they are traveling. Minors who are not in the company of their parents/guardians should also have proper documentation on file that gives the tour leader permission to travel with the child and make decision on the child's behalf.

Minors traveling internationally have the same passport requirements as adults. They usually have the same visa requirements as well. If you are traveling with a minor who is not your child (and you are not their legal guardian) you should get a power of attourney saying you are allowed to travel with this child and make decisions for them.

consular officers, immigration and tourism officials explain border entry and exit procedures, permission to travel letters, and other paperwork required,Passport. Additionally, FTF's report recommends that travelers vacationing with children other than their own carry medical treatment authorization letters, assigning them responsibility for a child's care in case of medical emergency.
