They are usually about 15 mm in length or so. But you know what it just depends. There are variety of sizes.

The idler bolt that can be found on many variants of the Cherokee models built by Jeep tend to be of the fifteen millimeter variety. Though this size applies more or less to the bolt head, the nut might be even smaller.

most idler bolts that hold the idler pulley on are 15mm. you have to have the right size wrench because the bolt may be tight.
