A normal LH level will be similar to a FSH level. The LH level will be low since it peaks before ovulation and then tapers off to allow the ovulation to happen. This will allow the endometrial wall to thicken and the fertilized egg to implant into the uterine lining.

Luteinizing Hormone (LH) is primarily important to trigger ovulation and help sustain a fertilized egg for the first two weeks of pregnancy. It's role in the beginning of pregnancy is to produce progesterone until the corpus luteum, and eventually the placenta, take over. After that, levels should remain between 1-20 IU/L.

Luteinizing Hormone,LH, is the hormone that triggers ovulation. Normal levels are less than 7 mIU/ml. During its surge in ovulation, LH levels are greater than 20 mIU/ml. So, once pregnant, they should be closer to the normal levels.
