In terms of clothes, you're going to want to dress in layers. No matter the time of year, Scotland can be gray and rainy. In the summer you can have some warm afternoons, but they're hard to predict. Of course, remember to bring the vacation essentials like your camera and sturdy walking shoes. A good travel umbrella is also helpful.

Pack a raincoat, because it is known to rain. Even if it is forecast to be warm, pack a sweater or jacket because the wind can get very chilly. Also, if you wear contacts, bring contact solution from home because it is expensive and hard to find in the UK.

It is best to pack layers and bring a waterproof jacket with a hood. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather, from warm to cold, to windy to rainy. Also, bring comfortable shoes for walking that are also waterproof. Don't forget a camera and local currency.

As weather varies rapidly in Scotland, you should carry mixed clothing during September. It is always advisable to carry a raincoat and water proof bags while visiting Scotland.

Layers! The weather changes a lot from AM to PM and from day to day. Be prepared for warmer days, cooler nights and wet weather. Don't forget sunglasses for the sunny days and have fun!

Pack clothing you can layer. Even if it is summer the evenings can be cool, and there is nothing chillier than a cold rainy day in Scotland. If you'll be doing anything upscale, such as theater or fine dining, take one set of dressy clothing with some mix and match potential. Take rugged clothing if you will go hiking, etc.

Passport, enough clothes to last you the length of your trip, drinking money (in traveler's checks). Check the weather report to see how you should dress.

Scotland is a very cold country. So for your trip to scotland we should take woollem cardigans, gloves, shock jackets and heavy boots.

Scotland is at a high latitude so a visitor should always bring a jacket, jeans and some type of hat to keep warm, as storms often move in fast.

The weather condition in Scotland changes very rapidly during September. So you should bring mixed cloths but don't forgot to bring the waterproof jackets and shoes.
