Before getting pregnant ask your Doctor whether your blood pressure and weight are healthy, if you're fully vaccinated, or have infections transmittable to the infant before or at delivery.

If you are on birth control make sure your body is weaned off of it. Also if you are taking drugs or alcohol please stop.

Getting a Health Check-up is always good. However, you should just make sure you're healthy and are ready for a child before making one.

It might be a good idea to get a physical and annual exam before getting pregnant. It is just nice to know that you are healthy before getting pregnant. If there are any genetic conditions in the mother's or father's family you may also want to consider genetic testing.
