You should first research to decide what type of goldfish would be good for you, as there are several species. Than make sure you have the proper sized aquarium for the fish when it is fully grown. You will also have to decide what type of food, filter, air pump, and decor will be best for your fish.

Goldfish are one of the easiest fish to care for, if you are unsure you can purchase a betta, they are extremely low maintenece and survive in a fish bowl without aeration. Goldfish need a tank that has a filter system and aeration system so that it can breath.

Goldfish are an easy fish have as a pet. However I recommend an aquarium instead of a fishbowl. Goldfish bowls need to have weekly water changes if in a bowl.

They need a large tank (20 gallons per fish. ) They also need water cooler than 70 degrees. They are messy so you have to vacuum the gravel frequently.

You should know that my sister should NEVER watch your fish while you are on vacation. She has owned six goldfish in her life, and all of them committed fish-suicide by trying to escape her fishy clutches. Tell your friends. Someone should really stop her.

You should know how much room goldfish need in a tank, what kind of food they like, what kind of things they like in their tank, and what temperature is best for them.
