Water retention can be very dangerous to a persons health. If you are retaining water or having edema you should consult you doctor as this is a sign of several serious medical conditions including Congestive heart failure, liver failure, kidney failure, and gout. Let the doc advise you on running.

Contrary to what most people believe, water retention occurs when a person is dehydrated. You should continue to hydrate yourself during your run, because you will lose water during perspiration.

water retention and running is when your body lack the sufficient amount water intake by a person. this causes retention of toxins in the body. And the best way to cure it is to drink more water.

Walking and running is a good exercise for the body. People who do retain water should put there feet up level with the head this helps stop the water retention around the ankles. If you look at the veins in your feet when they are up they go down.

Some of these answers are wrong and dangerous. Drinking too much water especially if you have water retention can cause seizure, with the chance of brain damage or possibly kill you. Find a better source of information on the subject than these stupid short answers!!
