1. That they share the same religious beliefs as you. 2. Review how they treat their own children. 3. Make sure they are at least in the same income bracket.

Selecting Godparents is a very personal decesion and one that you should not take ligtly. You are in fact selecting someone that will help you raise your child, help teach them religious believes and step in if something happens to you and your husband. A GodParent is a very important person.
