Iams is usually a good food for all dogs, however I do have a small dog who's stomach was frequently upset by Iams dog food so we started feeding him Science Diet, he really likes that and it is a high quality food as well. Either kind is good for your dog, it just depends on what he likes.

The breeder or your veterinarian can best advise you on what to feed your Jack. A reputable breeder provides new owners with an information packet that includes dietary instructions. Your pup should be seen by a veterinarian ASAP to assure that all is well, and you can ask then.

At 8 weeks old, puppy food is the right choice for a dog that young. Blue makes a wonderful selection of foods that are breed specific. Try to buy food that has meat as the first two ingredients and try to avoid foods with cornmeal.
