White bowel movements can be caused by barium enemas or certain antacids. However, they can also occur when your bile ducts are blocked, a condition that needs medical attention.

A white bowel movement means theres an obstruction in your bile flow. The bile is what gives us the normal color in bowel movements. This could be due to gallstones, pressure from outside and numerous other reasons. Best course of action would be to consult your primary care physician asap.

If you had a barium enema or antacids, this could be a simple cause of it. If not, it could be the sign of something far more serious including problems with your liver, small intestines or pancreas. Probably best to see a doctor and have stool/blood tests to rule out any of the above.

Check in with your doctor. It could be nothing or it could be a sign of liver disease, kidney disease, a problem with your pancreas or even other digestive issues like a stomach that is not absorbing your food properly. Alcoholics are known to have white stool when their liver is affected.

In general, the color of stool reflects what's in the diet, but a stool that completly lacks color, refered to as an acholic stool, can be a sign of biliary obstruction, which is a potentially serious condition. Save the stool and bring it (and yourself) to your doctor as soon as you can.

The ordinary color of bowel movements is partially the result of the bile produced by the liver. If it's not present, the result is white. You should contact your doctor.

You need to go directly to the ER it could be a sign of cologn cancer and when you get there tell them that the reason you are there is because of white bowel movements. That way they will check the right things first.
