Consider the risks involved if you are not profitable and decide an exit strategy to minimize losses.

Who is the target market? Ie. which group of customers is your store likely to target. Also, consider selling the most popular genres. Consider the location of where you are opening and what the likelihood of success in opening the store is.

Opening a music store that is not already part of a franchise can be very competitive. Consider the fact that most of us nowaday are purchasing digitally and locating all sorts of great deals online. Consider the fact that we are in a digital age.

The location is the biggest consideration depending on the music you will carry you want plenty of people in the age group of the music around the store.
