What should be the pot-size depth for a Red Dragon Flytrap?

Please use a pot thats 6 inches or larger for flytraps that you are growing outside. If you use this size pot it allows thwm to root in well and allows them to take the winter weather. The colder your winter weather the larger the pot you should use. Only cover the lower half of the bulb.

These plants originally come from the Carolinas and used to humidity and heat. Their size depends on how the root system grows. The side of the bulb that gets the most "food" will produce the largest traps. The bulb goes through a time where it burrows deeper in the ground. Allow for this when selecting pot size.

A good size pot for you plant is 4 inches deeper than the roots go. A plant that goes down 4 inches should be in an eight inch deep pot.

Red Dragon growing in full sun,flytraps in shaded,flytraps survive torturous conditions, out of the sun, tap water, dead bugs and plant dry up and still their plants grow big traps.
