Question by  MicheleJ (50)

What other animals would be a good tank mate for white tree frogs?

I want to make sure I do not put anything in the tank with my white tree frogs that will not kill them.

White's tree frogs will eat other smaller frogs, including their own species. They will also munch on salamanders, newts, mice, and lizards, among other things. Another White's tree frog, approximately the same size, is fine to put in the tank with your other frogs. These frogs like to stalk their prey and enjoy crickets, grasshoppers, moths, roaches, and other goodies.

Green anoles can not live with Whites tree frogs. The tree frogs will eat them. Especially once your tree frogs get bigger. Best thing is tree frogs same size. Talk to the pet store.

You can try the little Green Anole lizards, they are usually the ones getting eaten when put in a tank with another species.

Well, you can try putting a small tree frog in with a bigger green anole. Normally tree frogs are not so big. Take that back, they are pretty big.  add a comment

Whatever you do, do not put an adult whites tree frog in the same cage as a green anole. Whites tree frogs will eat anything that can fit down their throat. Remember, Whites tree frogs will eat as much as you give them.

You can try putting small whites tree frogs together with a little bigger longtail lizard. Just don't try putting an adult whites tree frog with a smaller longtail lizard, the tree frog will eat the lizard.
