I was taking over the counter medicines such as Tylenol, or Advil when I first started experiencing headaches. The headaches became more severe and I was given a prescription for Zoming by my doctor. It is a tablet that dissolves quickly in the mouth and taken usually twice a day.

The best thing I have found is Excedrin extra strength. I have migraines all the time and Excedrin knocks them right out. I also use Excedrin for migrains but they both work just as well.

Migraines are specific headaches and need specific types of medication to be effective. Acetaminophen-isometheptene-dichloralphenazone, dihydroergotamine and ergotamine tartrate are the most common medications in use. There has been success with serotonin to replace low serotonin levels. Prophylactic medication for frequent migraines (after thorough medical investigation) is probably the best resort.

An excellent medication especially for migraine is tablets called migralieve. You take one tablet at the first sign of a migraine starting.
