Many medications are used for OCD, both on-label and off-label. Some of them are SSRIs, benzodiazepines, and tricyclic antidepressants. OCD is treatable, but not curable.

Usually when psychiatrists attempt to medicate obsessive-compulsive disorder they try to treat it either with antidepressants or with light anti-psychotics. It may not be treatable with medicine alone.

It is treatable, but most people will need to remain on treatment. Some will use paxil, busbar, or prozac as they help with anxiety issues as well as depression.
