What made 1980s music so good that it's still listened to today?

It is not really the quality of 1980s music that makes it so popular today. The music was the start of dance music and is kept in the canon by old school radio stations and elevators. Some people say that 25 years after a music has gone out of style it is undoubtedly picked up again by the next generation.

I would have to say the up beat music. I personally love 80's music for many reasons. I think that the beats that songs have the ability to create a good vibe and you have fun dancing and remembering the 80's at the same time.
