In order to be eligible for a CPA license today, the requirements include at least 100 hours of accountancy. The easiest way to meet this requirement is to take an undergrad degree in accounting followed by a graduate (MBA) degree. The coursework renders the required number of hours in accountancy.

Basically you just enroll for a four year degree in accounting and you can become an accountant. You could basically put all of your bets into the accounting program at any great university and then you toake all the basic accounting courses and then later on you will take some advanced courses.

in most states to become a cpa you have to have a bachelor's and a masters in accounting. some even require some business type classes. Then you will also be required to take a CPA exam. Not all states require a master's degree, but most do. All require the CPA exam.

Each state licenses its CPA, who sit for a series of tests in order to earn the right to be called "CPA." Most CPAs have at least a four-year degree in accounting, which includes, per state requirements, at least 100 hours of accountancy.

You will need a bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Business. Pursuing an MBA afterward will further increase your knowledge, but not necessary. You should then take a study course for the CPA exam, and then attempt the exam.

A CPA requires a broad based financial education and passing the rigorous CPA exam. CPAs need a 4-year batchelors degree with an ethics course, a minimum of 24 semesters units in both business and accounting subjects. Additionally 150 semester units of education is recommended. One to two years of accounting work supervised by an active CPA licensee is also required.
