What kind of carpet should I use in my basement?

Indoor/outdoor carpet would be best for a basement because of water issues. Make sure to use a good outdoor adhesive or a contact cement to adhere it.

Well you can basically use light weight carpet for your basement. Make sure that your carpet is polyester in nature. Polyester carpets are good and last well. Especially if your putting your basement on rent, it's a good idea to invest in a good carpet.

I would say that a good moisture resistant high-traffic synthetic carpet would be a good choice. That way it will resist molding from damp air and last a long time.
