Plant in an area where they will receive full to partial sun. If you have it, a little compost will do them good for the best blooming, or a general fertilizer for flowers is fine. They do best if you use some mulch. You should water when the soil has become dry.

Impatience prefer to be kept in shade to partial sun. When kept in partial sun, they will need to be checked for water on a daily basis. The sunnier the location, the more diligent you will need to be in your watering. In the shade, impatience can go for several days without watering and are very easy to maintain.

They need almost no care. They like sandy soil for drainage they also can stand a good watering often. They like sun but tolerate a good bit of shade. If you feed them a little they will love it. They really make a statement when their is a lot of plants together in one color.

Impatience actually do pretty well on their own, and tend to spread and grow wild. They grow well and do not need much care.
