White mold is a kind of fungi that grows on surfaces like woods in houses. It grows best when there is lots of moisture. Molds can't be stop but it can be controlled by cleaning the house daily and keeping it dry.
It's just mold that will probably change colors. Your best bet is to find out what is causing it, because it is growing because of moisture problem somewhere.
