For the treatment of the symptom complex of tension headache, occasional migraine† and co-existing migraine† and tension-type headaches, the average dosing of Fioricet is about 1—2 tablets or capsules PO every 4 hours as needed. The maximum dose is 6 tablets or capsules in a 24-hour period.

The recommended adult dose for muscle contraction headaches is one to two tablets every four hours as necessary for relief of the headache but not exceeding six tablets in any twenty-four hour period.Stop medication if experiencing dizziness,drowsiness,nausea,vomiting,shortness of breadth,stomach aches,feelings of intoxication or light-headedness.Be aware that the medication contains caffeine and a sedative so avoid other sedatives and caffeine drinks.

Fioricet contains Acetaminophen, and follows acetaminophen's dosaging: 325mg per capsule; no more than 1000mg in a single dose; no more than 4000mg in a day.
